Last English Speaking District Temple Day - Lunch with First Mission President

 

So the first Saturday of Every month the Seoul Temple has two English Sessions - so the District Presidency encourages us to attend. This month our branch made a special effort to provide transportation and babysitters for all who would like to attend!  It was so sweet!  We stood in the prayer circle with our branch family and it was a tender experience!  We love how the members in our branch understand that we are all a family working together to help each other!  We will be able to attend the temple next Thursday before we go home but it will be in Korean.  It will also be special because we will be attending with the returning missionaries, one of whom served with us for 7 months. 

After our session in the temple, our first mission president, President Hong and his wife Sister Park met us at the temple and took us to lunch.  It was so special to be able to see them before we depart - they truly touched our hearts in ways that words can't express.  The Koreans have a word for it - "jeong"

He is the head of the family history department here in Northeast Asia and that means he will be coming to roots - so we will be able to see them again in March after the Roots Seminar in SLC

I absolutely love all the colors in Korea. Right now the Crepe Myrtle trees are in bloom - had to get this picture of Elder Lowe by it.  I'm hoping to try and plant one in our yard - but our area may be too cold for it to survive.
